DirectorThe filmmaker and author Sobo Swobodnik, born in Göppingen in 1966, primarily creates documentary films that often illuminate marginalized areas of society. His work 'Der Papst ist kein Jeansboy' (2011) was honored as Best Documentary at the 2012 Max Ophüls Prize Film Festival. Together with Andres Veiel, he wrote the screenplay for the cinematic documentary 'BEUYS' (2017), which earned them a nomination for the German Film Award. His more recent directorial works include the film 'Klassenkampf' (2021), which premiered at the Hof International Film Festival.
