Two men, Franz (Clemens Schick) and David (Peter Weiss), are in love with Maria (Anne Schäfer) and know nothing about each other.
An unconventional film about the love between two men in their thirties for a special woman – without knowing about each other. A mixture of road movie and romantic film.
Franz (Clemens Schick) and David (Peter Weiss) are around thirty, completely different, and in love with the same woman, without knowing about each other. When Maria (Anne Schäfer) suddenly disappears, the two men meet and search for her.
The film deals with the existential questions of a relationship: Why am I with someone? Do I love someone for who they are? Or for what I am looking for? Ultimately, the two realize that love is one thing above all else: the decision to choose someone despite all their weaknesses.
“Hannah Schweier has succeeded in creating a melancholic view of the world of people in their thirties.” (FAZ)
