The dark comedy is an Austrian version of "Die Hard" for homebuilders, tells of a family’s turmoil – almost ending in violent deaths – in trying to buy their dream house.
Synopsis
Herbert Krcal (Roland Düringer) and his wife Margit (Nina Proll) dream of owning their own home. They do this in the "Blue Lounge", a housing shop in southern Vienna, where they often spend their time with their son Phillip. However, they soon realize, that they don’t have the means to buy the houses they have been looking at. But this is only the beginning of Harald Sichernitz’s disaster movie.
Harald Sicheritz’s pitch black comedy is one of the biggest box office successes in postwar Austria with a total of 800,000 admissions.
