Amber Bongard

Amber Bongard, born on August 24, 1997, in Potsdam, is a German actress who became known as a child and teen actress. She made her debut in the film world with a supporting role in the Tatort episode Große Liebe (2004), followed by an outstanding leading role in the award-winning TV social drama In Sachen Kaminski (2005), in which she gave a convincing performance as the learning-disabled daughter alongside Juliane Köhler and Matthias Brandt. She had her first cinema role in MONTAG KOMMEN DIE FENSTER (2006, directed by Ulrich Köhler), in which she played the daughter Charlotte – a central role in the atmospheric relationship drama that attracted attention for its minimalist, moody style. She went on to appear in other notable productions: in Vier Minuten (Four Minutes, 2006, directed by Chris Kraus) as the schoolgirl Clara, in the psychological drama Die Frau am Ende der Straße (The Woman at the End of the Street, 2006), in the ARD psychological drama Schattenkinder (Shadow Children, 2007) and the tragicomedy Patchwork (2008). In the children's and youth genre, she became known as Lili in the cinema comedy Sommer in Orange (2011, directed by Marcus H. Rosenmüller), in which she played the daughter in a Bhagwan commune – a role that earned her much critical acclaim. She also became a defining face of modern German family films as Fanny in the successful Ostwind film series (since 2013). Since 2015, Amber Bongard has also been a fixture on family television as Ricarda Bündschuh in the ZDF television series Familie Bundschuh. At the same time, she appeared in series such as Club der roten Bänder, Charité, and In aller Freundschaft – Die jungen Ärzte, further strengthening her profile as a versatile actress.
