Born in Algiers in 1964, Chawki Amari is an Algerian journalist, cartoonist, and writer who also works as a filmmaker. Primarily known for his journalistic and literary work, he ventured into film directing. He made his debut in 2017 with the short film "L'impasse" (Dead End). This work was invited to various international film festivals, including the Carthage Film Festival (JCC) and the Tétouan International Mediterranean Film Festival.
