Dani Jazzar

Born in Lebanon in 1983, filmmaker Dani Jazzar studied Communication Arts at the Lebanese American University. His long-term documentary "Batata" (2022), which he co-directed with Noura Kevorkian, follows Syrian migrant workers in Lebanon over a decade. The film premiered at the Berlinale in 2022 and received numerous international awards. These include the award for Best Film in the International Competition at IDFA 2022 and the award for Best Feature Length Documentary at the 2023 Canadian Screen Awards. His earlier work includes the short film "Is There a Place for Me?" (2016).
