Director and author Gabriele Blum graduated from the Filmakademie Baden-Württemberg in 2022. Her graduation film, the short "The Wasp," was nominated for the FIRST STEPS Award in 2022 and was presented the following year at the Filmfestival Max Ophüls Preis. The filmmaker had previously directed several short films, including "The Raft" (2019) and "L'arroseur" (2020). Gabriele Blum was born in Frankfurt am Main in 1992 and studied philosophy and German studies before her film education.
