Jeanne Balibar

The French actor and singer Jeanne Balibar, born in 1968, completed her acting training at the Conservatoire national supérieur d'art dramatique in Paris. After starting her career at the Comédie-Française, she established herself as a key performer in French auteur cinema, working with filmmakers such as Olivier Assayas and Jacques Rivette. Her role in Mathieu Amalric's film *Barbara* (2017) earned her the César Award for Best Actress. She received another César Award, this time for Best Supporting Actress, for her work in the film adaptation *Lost Illusions* (2021).
