DirectorThe Belgian director and screenwriter Joachim Lafosse, born in 1975, completed his studies at the Institut des Arts de Diffusion. His films frequently dissect the complex dynamics and tensions within family and close interpersonal relationships. His works are regularly screened at major international film festivals, including *Our Children* (2012), which premiered in the Un Certain Regard section at Cannes, and *The Restless* (2021), which competed for the Palme d'Or. For his film *The White Knights* (2015), he was awarded the Silver Shell for Best Director at the San Sebastián Film Festival. His more recent work, *A Silence* (2023), also competed at the San Sebastián festival.
