Kandis Williams

Born in Baltimore in 1985, artist Kandis Williams works at the intersection of video, performance, and collage. As the founder of the educational and publishing platform Cassandra Press, she combines artistic practice with critical discourse. Her works are shown internationally in institutions such as the Hammer Museum in Los Angeles and the Museum of Modern Art in New York. For her video work presented as part of the "Made in L.A. 2020" exhibition, she was a finalist for the Mohn Award. In 2021, she was also honored with the Frieze Impact Prize.
