Malena Filmus, born on March 14, 1990, in Buenos Aires, Argentina, is a versatile actress, director, and screenwriter. She is known for her participation in short films, feature films, and web projects, as well as for her creative versatility in acting, directing, and writing. Her feature film with the greatest international presence is THE FALL OF THE QUEENS (original title: Cómo mueren las reinas), which was directed by Lucas Nazareno Turturro in 2021. Malena Filmus plays the role of Juana in the film. The psychological family drama thriller has been shown at festivals such as Buenos Aires and Málaga and draws on intense family dynamics. Other short films in which she has appeared or co-created include Domar (2021, directed by Alcibiade Cohen), Caída (2021, directed by Mateo Fusilier), and the 2016 short film Tony, which she wrote and directed herself. She also appeared as an actress in The Lion's Den (2016, directed by Benjamin Hozie) and Awena's Dressing Room (2016, directed by Rachel Fieshi).
