Morgane Ferru, born on June 13, 1991, in Zurich, Switzerland, is a multilingual French-Swiss actress based in Berlin whose career has been impressive in film, television, and theater. After graduating from the Otto Falckenberg School, she started out as a freelance actress in 2015, initially with a leading role as Livie in the Swiss episodic film Heimatland (2015, directed by several directors). One of her most notable feature films is GLAUBENBERG (2018), a Swiss drama directed by Thomas Imbach. Ferru plays Julia in the film, which premiered in August 2018 at the Locarno Film Festival. Her other notable film and TV projects include Berlin Syndrome (2017, directed by Cate Shortland) and Und morgen seid ihr tot (2021, directed by Michael Steiner), in which she plays the lead role of Daniela Widmer – a story based on true events that was shown at the Zurich Film Festival, among others. Television is also an important part of her career: since 2017, she has played the role of Mandy Petersen, a doctor's assistant, in the ARD series Praxis mit Meerblick (directed by Jan Ruzicka, among others). Other series appearances include roles in SOKO Leipzig, Der Bergdoktor, SOKO Köln, In aller Freundschaft – Die jungen Ärzte, Bettys Diagnose, SOKO München, and Wilder – each with different directors. Morgane Ferru combines theater expertise with international film presence – particularly noteworthy are her emotionally nuanced roles in human and nature dramas and her acting flair for complex characters.
