Nassima Benchicou

Born in Algiers in 1993, filmmaker Nassima Benchicou first studied cinema in her hometown before completing her education in the directing department of the Paris film school La Fémis. Her graduation short film, "Nuit Blonde" (2022), premiered in the Cinéfondation selection of the Cannes Film Festival. Prior to this, Benchicou participated in the Locarno Film Festival's Filmmakers Academy in 2021. The director and screenwriter is currently developing her first feature-length project, titled "Le Voisin".
