Born in Algeria and based in France, Rayhana works as a playwright, actor, and filmmaker. She made her widely noted directorial debut with the feature film "I Still Hide to Smoke" (2017), which is based on her own successful stage play. The film portrays the daily lives, conflicts, and hopes of women from different generations in a hammam in Algiers. Her work received international recognition and was honored with awards including the "Label Europa Cinemas" at the Thessaloniki International Film Festival and the Alice Guy Prize in 2018.
