DirectorThe Italian director and screenwriter Paolo Virzì was born in Livorno in 1964 and studied at the Centro Sperimentale di Cinematografia in Rome. His debut film, "La bella vita" (1994), immediately earned him the David di Donatello award for Best New Director. In his works, which often feature satirical and socio-critical tones, he portrays modern Italy. His multi-award-winning films include "Human Capital" (2013) and "Like Crazy" (2016), both of which won the David di Donatello for Best Film. His film "Dry" (2022) was screened at the Venice International Film Festival.
