ActorThomas Gioria is a French actor who attracted attention at a young age with his intensity and expressiveness. He made his film debut in 2018 in Xavier Legrand's “Custody” (original title: *Jusqu'à la garde*), a highly acclaimed drama that won an award at the Venice Film Festival. Gioria's portrayal of a child caught between the fronts of a broken family earned him critical acclaim and a César nomination for Best Young Actor.
In BRIGHT WOMEN (2022), directed by Élodie Lélue, Thomas Gioria shows a new facet of his talent. The film, which according to Cineuropa is conceived as an ensemble production with several strong main characters, ties in with Gioria's penchant for emotional depth and complex characters. His role as Ziggy highlights his ability to portray subtle psychological nuances with great authenticity.
His other credits include ADORATION (2019) by Fabrice Du Welz, in which he stars alongside Fantine Harduin, and “The Night of the 12th” (2022) by Dominik Moll, a multi-award-winning crime film that won Best Film at the 2023 César Awards. Gioria also appears regularly on French television, for example in the series “Le Mensonge.”
