Synopsis
In a series of essays, he recounts an amazing biography in which passion for music, business acumen and the structural change of the industry have found a balance. Scumeck Sabottka is a man behind the curtains. He brought a certain band called Red Hot Chili Peppers to Europe at a time when hardly anyone knew the band. The same applies to his collaboration with Violent Femmes, Radiohead or the Ramones. Since then, the ex-punk from the Ruhr area, who was stranded on the wild "Insel Welt-Berlin" in 1980 as a conscientious objector, has been on a pretty good artistic and commercial footing.
