The Dead Brothers - Death Is Not the End

We learn how family biography is intertwined with artistic creativity. Their sound is neither slick nor predicable. Accordion playing band member Pierre Ohmer thinks of it as 'flea market music'. A fitting description. The rich and surprising mix of Blues, Swing, Folk, Rock 'n Roll, and Gypsy is tossed together with a bunch of other weird stuff, but the result is seductive and textured. You could say the same about the band members' unique and at time traumatic backgrounds: Armenian-Swiss exiles in Canada, intellectual Swiss-Indians and a semi-criminal New Zealand escapee. One thing ties them together, they are blessed musical artists all.
