Trojan (Mišel Matičević), who specializes in robberies, is fresh out of prison and just wants to do one last big thing. Then it's over. But real friends are rare in the milieu and Trojan's old contacts turn out to be unreliable. In his search for accomplices, he becomes entangled in a web of violence, betrayal and corruption. In his work, Arslan departs from the genre-typical exaggeration of the characters and instead exposes the structures of the gangster film. After leaving Berlin behind at the end of IM SCHATTEN, Trojan returns after twelve years in Burnt Earth, which was shown at the 74th Berlinale.
