Parabeton - Pier Luigi Nervi und Römischer Beton

PARABETON is the first installment in Heinz Emigholz's multi-part RISE OF MODERNITY projects, which also includes PERRET IN FRANCE AND ALGERIA and THE AIRSTRIP. The film combines Nervi's bold constructions with cinematic studies of ancient buildings made of Roman concrete. An inventor of style-defining constructions, Nervi is the grand master of concrete construction and the architect's architect of the 20th century.
