Looking to breathe new life into the sport of rugby in Germany, a man has launched an inclusive rugby team.
Synopsis
Rugby coach Hans-Herbert Wiegandt has created a rugby team in Braunschweig in which girls and boys, refugees, migrants and locals play together. In the tradition of educator Konrad Koch, who brought the sport to Braunschweig in 1871, Wiegandt has brought the game back to the Martino-Katharineum Gymnasium. However, the real challenge remains finding enough young players, and coach Wiegandt is finding special ways to do that, too.
