I Love You Phillip Morris

Steven Russell is a Texas police officer living a conventional life until a car accident prompts him to reassess everything. After coming out as gay, he abandons his old identity and moves to Key West, financing an extravagant lifestyle through fraud and cons. His schemes eventually land him in the Texas State Penitentiary, where he meets Phillip Morris, a gentle, soft-spoken inmate who becomes the love of his life. Desperate to free Phillip and build a life together, Steven embarks on an audacious series of escapes and elaborate deceptions, each more impossible than the last. Jim Carrey delivers a manic, elastic performance as the relentless Steven, while Ewan McGregor brings quiet vulnerability to Phillip. The film balances dark comedy with genuine romance, exploring themes of identity, reinvention, and the lengths one will go for love. Based on a true story, I LOVE YOU PHILLIP MORRIS is a tragicomedy that defies convention and pushes boundaries.
