Pegah Ferydoni

Pegah Ferydoni, born in Tehran in 1983, is a German-Iranian actor and filmmaker. She became known to a wider audience through her role as Yağmur Öztürk in the multi-award-winning series "Türkisch für Anfänger" (2006–2008). Her filmography demonstrates great range, including a role in Shirin Neshat's Venice award-winning drama "Women Without Men" (2009). For her leading role in "Die defekte Katze" (The Defective Cat, 2018), she received the Award for Acting at the Festival of German Films. In addition to her work in front of the camera, such as in the series "Almania" (2021–2022), she also works as a director.
