The suburbs of Rome, the “Ragazzi di vita” - once described by Pasolini - now belong to a world where money, fast cars, and cocaine are easily available. It is the world in which Vittorio and Cesare, both 20 years old, move in search of success and recognition. However, the new “dolce vita” comes at a very high price. And at some point, their paths diverge: Vittorio falls in love and tries to return to bourgeois society, while Cesare sinks deeper and deeper into a swamp of drugs and dealing. But Vittorio does not give up on his friend. Taking from the rich is their way of compensating for social injustice. Cesare and Vittorio are petty criminals who no longer steal to survive, but to make quick money, Rolexes, iPhones, and designer clothes. They are criminals, but at the same time they have adopted bourgeois ideas about money and consumption. Until Vittorio meets single mother Linda and decides to change his life. The film was released posthumously in 2015 – Caligari died shortly after completing filming – and became one of the most acclaimed Italian works of the year. DON'T DO ANYTHING BAD premiered at the Venice International Film Festival in the Venezia Classici series, where it received minutes of applause. It has won several awards, including the Nastro d'Argento for Best Director and Best Screenplay, and the David di Donatello for Best Production. The film has also been screened at festivals in Toronto, Rome, and Rotterdam, and has been internationally praised for its authenticity and emotional impact.
