Anastasia Biefang

Anastasia Biefang is a filmmaker who began a new career in the film industry after her time as an officer in the German Armed Forces. Her directorial debut, the short film "Abgebogen" (Turned Off), premiered in competition at the 2024 Max Ophüls Preis film festival. Previously, she was the focus of the documentary "I Am Anastasia" (2019) by Thomas Ladenburger, which highlights her journey as the first transgender commander in the German military. In addition to her work as a director, she is also active as a performer.
