Demián Bichir

Demián Bichir is a Mexican actor, director, and producer who is one of the most internationally recognized faces in Latin American cinema. He comes from a family of actors: his parents and his brothers Bruno and Odiseo also work in film and theater. He appeared on stage at an early age and performed in theater productions in Mexico before attracting attention in national film. As an actor, he has built a versatile career in Mexican, American, and European cinema. He gained international recognition for his roles in films such as Che – Revolución (2008), Che – Guerrilla (2008), A Better Life (2011) – for which he received an Oscar nomination for Best Actor – Savages (2012), The Hateful Eight (2015), and Alien: Covenant (2017). He has also appeared in popular series such as Weeds and The Bridge. His acting ranges from intense character roles to major Hollywood productions and has earned him numerous awards and worldwide recognition. In addition to his acting work, Bichir has also taken on directing: he made his feature film debut as a director with Un cuento de circo & A Love Song (2016). In the work, which he also wrote and produced, he tells a poetic story about love, loss, and the world of the circus.
