The Belgian director and screenwriter Flo Van Deuren graduated from the LUCA School of Arts in Brussels. Her graduation short film, "Bamboe" (2018), was awarded the Audience Award at the International Short Film Festival Leuven. Together with Kato De Boeck, she created and directed the series "Roomies" (2022), which focuses on the lives of two lesbian friends in Brussels. The production gained international attention and also won the Audience Award at the 2022 Series Mania festival.
