ActorThe Dutch-Moroccan filmmaker and theatre maker Khadija El Kharraz Alami graduated from the Maastricht Academy of Performing Arts in 2012. She first gained recognition for her stage presence in theatre before also turning to film. Her directorial debut, the hybrid documentary "In the Shadow of the Palm Trees" ("In de schaduw van de palmbomen"), premiered at the International Film Festival Rotterdam in 2024. In addition to her work as a director, El Kharraz Alami also appears as a performer in film and television productions such as the series "Dertigers".
