Born in Vienna in 1996, filmmaker Kristina Maca has been studying directing at the Vienna Film Academy since 2018. Her cinematic works have already gained recognition at several renowned festivals. For instance, her short film "Liebe, Pflicht & Hoffnung" (2021) was awarded Best Short Film at the Filmfestival Kitzbühel. Another work, the film "Klimax" (2023), screened in competition at the Max Ophüls Preis Film Festival and received a nomination for the First Steps Award. Her film "Split" (2022) was also presented in the program of the Diagonale festival.
