French actor and filmmaker Melvil Poupaud, born in Paris in 1973, began his career in childhood. He established himself through collaborations with influential directors such as Éric Rohmer in *A Summer's Tale* (1996) and François Ozon, with whom he shot films like *Time to Leave* (2005). His acting versatility was showcased in works like Xavier Dolan's *Laurence Anyways* (2012) and Ozon's *By the Grace of God* (2019), both of which earned him César Award nominations for Best Actor. For his role in Valérie Donzelli's drama *Just the Two of Us* (2023), he ultimately won the César for Best Actor.
