La lisière

At the edge of the forest lies the planned community “The Hills of Beauval,” a closed society where everything is regulated and the investor watches over the residents like a father figure. A new doctor is wanted, and so François, a young doctor from Paris, comes to the French province. He himself cannot say specifically what drives him to it. But François lets himself drift and quickly gets caught up in the subtle power struggles and intrigues that permeate the society of “Beauval”. It is above all the close-knit community of young people that very quickly makes François the pawn of their opaque rituals. Among the girls, especially the shy Claire, the good-looking doctor triggers fanciful fantasies.
