DirectorThe French director and screenwriter Nicolas Klotz, born in 1954, often creates his film projects in close collaboration with the filmmaker Élisabeth Perceval. His feature film *Paria* (2000) was screened in the Un Certain Regard section at the Cannes Film Festival, where it won the Prix François Chalais. His subsequent works, such as *The Wound* (La Blessure, 2004) and *Heartbeat Detector* (La Question humaine, 2007), were also presented in Cannes as part of the Directors' Fortnight. A more recent project is the documentary *The Wild Frontier* (L'Héroïque Lande, la frontière brûle, 2018), which screened in the Forum section at the Berlinale and addresses the situation of refugees.
