Romy Lauwers is a Belgian actor and filmmaker who is active in both theater and film and is part of the Kuiperskaai theater collective. Her acting work includes roles in internationally recognized films such as "Flemish Heaven" ("Le Ciel Flamand", 2016) and the drama "When It Melts" ("Het Smelt", 2023), directed by Veerle Baetens. In addition to her work as a performer, she directed her own short film, "Remise" (2021). Her directorial debut was presented at the International Film Festival Rotterdam, showcasing her versatility as an artist.
