Timothy Spall

Timothy Spall is a British actor who has been one of his country's most versatile character actors since the 1970s. After training at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art, he began his career in theater before gaining international recognition with memorable roles in British television and cinema. His career is closely linked to director Mike Leigh, with whom he has collaborated successfully on several occasions. In Mike Leigh's SECRET AND LIES (1996), Spall plays Maurice, a photographer caught between family tensions and social conflicts.
