In the wilderness of the Bucharest Delta, a family lives in perfect harmony with nature for 20 years until being chased out.
In the wilderness of the Bucharest Delta, a family lives in perfect harmony with nature for 20 years until being chased out.
The family fight to keep their home, but the municipality has some good arguments: the children do not go to school, access to medical care is miserable, and there are no job prospects.
Their lives change forever. The fish in the children's hands are replaced by smartphones and afternoons are no longer spent outdoors but in the classroom. They must adapt to the constraints of urban life and, one by one, begin to question their future in this world.
Director Radu Ciorniciuc's award-winning debut feature tells the compelling story of an impoverished family's struggle for their own version of freedom.
