In the summer of 1994, shortly after graduating from high school, five close friends gather for one last sleepover. As keen theater enthusiasts, they have donned elaborate costumes of literary figures for this special evening: from Alice in Wonderland to Mina Harker to Dr. Jekyll. But behind the happy facade, there is unspoken tension. Gene, one of the group, has a secret he finally wants to share, but fear of how his deeply religious friends will react holds him back. As the night progresses, conversations become more profound, and long-buried feelings come to light.
