I Can Quit Whenever I Want: Ad Honorem

Smetto quando voglio: Ad honorem

Directed by Sydney Sibilia

Trailer

Pietro calls his old gang of scientists together: a nerve-wracking race against a chemical threat begins.

Synopsis

A year has passed since the gang was arrested in the laboratory and subsequently placed in separate prisons. Pietro tries desperately to warn the authorities about a faulty nerve gas, but no one believes him. He then arranges to be transferred in order to contact Murena, who seems to have valuable information about the killer. Pietro then wants to reunite the old gang: the brightest minds far and wide. I CAN QUIT WHENEVER I WANT: AD HONOREM is the explosive conclusion to director Sydney Sibilia's trilogy. The film combines action, satire, and emotion into a fast-paced finale that is both socially critical and entertaining. The familiar mix of sharp humor, intelligent storytelling, and precise staging makes this third installment the highlight of the series. Edoardo Leo, Stefano Fresi, and Valeria Solarino once again impress as an unorthodox team that turns science into an adventure. The film was released in Italy in 2017 and presented at the Festa del Cinema di Roma, where it was praised for its creative signature and exceptional ensemble cast. With its combination of pace, irony, and political undertones, I CAN QUIT WHENEVER I WANT: AD HONOREM is considered the successful finale to one of the most original film series in modern Italian cinema.
