Mohammadreza Farzad
Director
Born in Tehran in 1978, Mohammadreza Farzad is an Iranian filmmaker, poet, and translator. His cinematic works are characteristically based on the montage of archival material and found footage to explore social and political aspects of Iranian history. His short film "Subtotals" (2022) was invited to the Berlinale Shorts competition, where it gained international attention. His other works include "Blames and Flames" (2012), which screened at the International Documentary Film Festival Amsterdam (IDFA), and "The Last Image of a Lost Master" (2024).
