ActorBorn in Tel Aviv in 1975, Israeli filmmaker Nadav Lapid initially studied philosophy before turning to cinema. His works, which often address social tensions and questions of identity in Israel, have gained international recognition. His feature film "Synonyms" (2019) was awarded the Golden Bear at the 69th Berlin International Film Festival. For his subsequent work, "Ahed's Knee" (2021), he received the Jury Prize at the Cannes Film Festival. Lapid's cinematic work is known for its energetic and often provocative visual language.
